Captive Management Services

These fees are primarily for domiciliary financial reporting, policy and premium invoice issuance, and other routine tasks to assure compliance with state insurance regulations and provide the necessary bookkeeping needs of the RRG or Group Captive.   These fees are often a rough estimate of local needs, which frequently reflect market conditions.  If not competitively bid, they can be moderately excessive. Competition will likely result in somewhat lower fees.

One important issue IS regulatory compliance in the various states where insured members may be located.  There are policy filing and state Taxes to be paid in every state where an insured member is located.  The policy forms and marketing material must be properly printed with specifically required state wording, solicitation laws and State Fair Claims Practices Act must be complied with.  The process requires professional management by a LICENSED person or persons.  Response’s to state regulatory agency inquiries and complaints must also be responded to by licensed persons.

In EVERY STATE, a Captive or RRG is required to be managed by a licensed or approved Captive Manager, as recognized by the State Insurance Department.  From the time of first consideration thru implementation the Captive Manager will be the facultator and coordinator of the process.
